The Tyranny of Steel side chapters thing was not my fault. Webnovel has made it so all side chapters need to be released at one time. After you publish one you are locked from posting more. I did not know this when I started writing the side chapters. Because of this there is simply no way for me to keep updating them.
Correct, they call Muay Thai the "Art of Eight Limbs" for that reason.
sorry, that was a typo, and poor grammar on my part, I'll rewrite it.
Sorry about the past few days, daylight savings has my sleep schedule all messed up, I've been sleeping in too late, and starting work too late, causing me to miss out on IA as it's the last chapter I write in a day. I'll try to get accustom to the time change quicker so I can begin regularly updating again.
You're not wrong about that. The inspiration for the armor in the story was the German Landsknechts, and they also influenced those units in Warhammer Fantasy as well.
The story is set in the early 15th century. At that time, noble girls were considered adults once they hit puberty and were generally married off at that age.
early 1400s.
I think I understand the confusion here. The murder achievement that Zane unlocked very early on was unlocked by his murdering one living being. He just didn't realize the achievement tab existed for a long while. It's a hidden achievement that only one person who spills another living being's blood in an act of aggression will unlock. Olivia did not contribute to Elena unlocking the achievement.
How can you be carried? Eleana got the hidden achievement, Olivia did not. If anything, the achievement system doesn't recognize party gains as I previously stated and only recognizes the act of the individual survivor, thus sparking competition among them for the requirements to fulfill achievements.
How does this not make sense? The system profiles a murder based upon who acted in aggression first. Killing someone in self defense is not murder. It is generally classified under the term "justifiable homicide". If Elena shot the guy in the head, without a fight breaking out first, the system flags it as murder. If Olivia killed a bunch of guys in self defense after the fighting had already begun, fighting which she did not start, she is not committing murder, but is killing in self defense. I don't understand what is so hard to understand about this concept.
I knew when writing this that the moment US troops withdrew from the region, the ANA would collapse and the country would revert back to Taliban control, but even I was astounded at just how quickly Afghanistan fell... I have a bad habit of predicting things in my stories without intending to. For example, in my other work Interstellar Age, I wrote about a group of aliens loosely based on the Palestinians who attacked another group of aliens loosely based on Israel. Not even two weeks passed after I published that chapter before the ongoing war in Gaza broke out in real life. Needless to say, I had no idea that was actually going to happen, but it definitely left some readers displeased.
It's not about how many are killed, but who started the conflict that resulted in the deaths. Elena drew first blood. Causing the situation to escalate into a fight to the death. Olivia, however, opened fire after the marauders had returned fire on their position. Meaning, as far as the system is concerned, she was acting in defense.
As long as the readers keep supporting it I plan to keep writing it. I'm trying to go back to the roots of the novel. Without even realizing it I neglected certain aspects of the story in the previous arc. So there will be more 18+ scenes going forward and more interactions with his pre existing harem.
