Except he could, I could understand valyria, but why bring slavery to westeros?
no it really doesnt
It's alright, maybe I have been spoiled by fanfics in ao3, spacebattles, etc which tend to be way better than fics here but it's not bad, it's rather overhyped if I am being honest it doesn't do anything too crazy or reinvent the wheel other than a setting change, slaving and incest 1) generic cold and ruthless mc with very little personality, check 2) very little focus on how his modern mentality might clash with this new world check, check 3) incest with very little deliberation, check 4) slavery with no problem whatsoever in conclusion, its not a bad story but it is way overhyped
no, there were no dragonlords that survived, it was valyrians on the outskirts that did
well given my ethnicity, slavery will all was rub me the wrong way but lets agree to disagree
that's not the reason i am bothered, it is his unbothered view and how quick he is to accept it
its the fact that it is a modern person with a modern upbringing accepting it with no complaints whatsoever that bothers me so much, there wasn't even a moment of doubt, if this was a valyrian oc, i would not be so bothered about it plus, slaves will work slower and less efficiently than free workers as they have nothing to really lose, and slavery always going to be net negative in any society due to the negative impacts it has on society ps, i am not like you, i cant and will not accept it if there is any other way
last i checked, what i said was a valid criticism
he literally said he will use slaves to build a new kingdom after he leaves valyria, that is not the sign of someone who is doing it just because he has no choice
actually, free labor will always be more efficient as they have the incentive to work faster and why slavery?
