If I remember right though I may not be a large reason kotori likes shido so much is because he went back in time at some point with the help of kurumi to stop her rampaging in her spirit form and sealing her, so if a certain person now destined to have a large amount of interactions with kurumi were to be sent bac in time instead, they could do this and simply be wearing an outfit kotori doesnt recognise till after. never wrote a story and haven't watched it in a while so idk if that would work I just think it might either way I'm enjoying the story
