Dirt rose up upon her command and bound Johnathan within until only his head was visible. From the corner of her eye, she saw James pick up the two Wiccans with his magic and continuously slam them into the side of a brick building until they were knocked unconscious. It broke her heart that these Wiccans could so easily ignore her when she gave her warnings. Did they think because she was a minor that she would not live up to her word? I dare you to give this story a try. There's a really interesting story here. A genuine slice of life story that paces itself working with a system concept. The story seems developing well. Overall, this story is a compelling read. Personally, I like a little bit more depth to my characters as well as my world building. Slice of life fiction is not really my cup of tea either. ^-^;; I hope you keep up the great work.

I wanted someone to balance out Joseph and Benjamin for Emilia to NOT feel overwhelmed, nice to know that I accomplished that.

Every student of Clinton Madison's Eastern Senior High, not to be mistaken for Clinton Madison's Western Senior High, knows very well of Mr. Charlton and his not-so-secret closet fanboy obsession with any hero of the celebrated Association of Patrons, Protectors, and Supers. Everyone knows the Association as APPS. Hello! I'm Mary, the author and creator of Dark Starling. I'm not sure if it's a bit tacky for me to write a review on my own story or not, but I figured this is the best you're going to get for a little blurb about my novel. Dark Starling was written when I transferred to my alumn University and I was finding myself and who I wanted to be as an adult. I did not know anyone and had to face a lot of challenges by myself. It was then that I was determined to show off an accomplishment I've always put off, and thus Dark Starlin was written. It's not perfect by any means and the plot has been hammered to K-Drama perfection (at least that's what I've been told by readers before posting here). The protagonist, Emilia Hutchinson, took me a while to get used to writing. But, I'm proud of my little project and I hope you enjoy reading. I will be posting every other week, to give both myself and my beta team time to read, edit, and revise for your reading pleasure. I just want to thank you again! Mary_Boogaard
