I am trying to establish that being any star won't matter. it is how you use your power. I relate it to "with great power comes great responsibility" from Stan Lee's spiderman. Your power doesn't matter. its what you do with it that changes who you are. even if a system was in place how you use your strength can change a fight. I apologize if my explanation doesn't make sense.
Knowing, and believing are different. believing something can make it true for the mind like a placebo. if you were suddenly told you were a monster right after being killed would you want to believe it? I don't mean that to sound aggressive it is my sincere question, and my answer to yours.
To put it a different way imagine filling a large container with something. then forcing that into a small container via some method. That smaller container would break damaging the container. hence adding more power to a smaller filled container is pointless it will break. the container must match the amount. I don't believe in small things holding great power so I just made him older as his power grew. easier to go by my analogy though at least for me. change is inevitable it will always happen regardless of whether we want it or not.
no since he was in on it. there was more going on than the missing people. I decided not to touch on it. But it was meant to be seem as a corrupt person gouging money ill set up a better situation in the future my apologies.thank you for your input it is much appreciated.
yes for reasons coming in the next few chapters I'm currently writing.
Also because you can't usually just jump it takes many quests. like a f rank adventurer could take a s rank in battle. It is all about the amount of quests for them . although I had him get help from the king for the inevitable setback
You can't have character progression without struggle.
there is a reason exp hasn't been brought up his system will change at one point.
yes I apologize I wrote that while on my 15 minute break. please next time leave a comment on the chapter so I may fix inconsistencies.
I'm sorry I can't explain if I don't know what you are surprised about. but I will take a stab at a guess. the Duke is here as an engagement between 2 close elven kingdoms there are very few humans here but there are some. mainly kept as slaves or stewards. it gets crazier though
