I'm really liking this comment section. There's a lot of good points and you can learn just by reading every opinion. But, for me, I think the mc is right. Especially since they are living in a xianxia world. Why risk getting killed for someone you don't know? It's not a question of morality. It's more of a way to live longer. Being a bit selfish in a world where power reigns is not unreasonable. Of course, if this were to happen in our world this would be scum behavior. I also agree with the person that replied to a comment that says “ignoring evil is evil itself”. If ignoring evil is evil then is ignoring good being good? Of course others may disagree but I'm fine with that.
