I hope there will be an update today.
Only one person was killed by that madman, and they weren't "lords".
Well, I find it perplexing to think that the riverlords were among the staunchest supporters of House Targaryen, and yet House Tully in particular—who became lords of the Riverlands only by the grace of the Targaryens—turned against them and rose in rebellion. Truly, that era was filled with some of the greatest embodiments of nobility, while at the same time revealing some of the basest examples of treachery.
Duncan was not the Crown Prince! He abdicated.
Yes, this was mentioned in the text.
Do you know of any other novel that is also set during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen, where the main character brings back the Targaryen dragons, and is still being regularly updated?
A good book with good potential. I hope the author doesn't become complacent like others. Beginnings are always difficult, but once a solid foundation is built for the story, the ideas and goals become better.
Alright, I will recommend the works that I personally liked the most. It is true that they are set in events different from those of your own novel, but they still revolve around the Targaryens, and I can guarantee that you will gain some useful experience and inspiration from them. 1. Rhaegal Targaryen by Jester_09 This is probably the closest work to yours. It may be a bit too overpowered for your taste, but it should still give you plenty of inspiration. 2. Aenys Targaryen by Jester_09 This is the author’s other work. If you read the first one, my advice is not to miss this one either. True, it only has ten chapters, but the word count is still decent. For me, it is currently the best unfinished Targaryen story on this site. If you did not like the overpowered aspect of the first novel, then this one will probably suit you more. Still, I recommend checking out both of them and not skipping either. 3. The third work is Russian. I know, yes, that may sound strange, but I assure you that it is one of the books that comes closest to George Martin’s own writing style. The title is [Король, Что Носит Меч]. If you have a ChatGPT Plus subscription, I recommend copying the chapters, converting them into a text file, and asking ChatGPT to translate the file. You will understand it far better than you would with Google Translate. 4. The fourth work is also Russian. I am not Russian either, just like you, and I do not know the Russian language, so do not worry. :) Its title is [Третья голова дракона], and its quality is no lower than any of the works mentioned above. If you want to learn the art of writing dialogue between characters and building strong character arcs, then I recommend taking inspiration from works three and four. However, I do not recommend imitating the way the authors of works three and four weaken their protagonists. Yes, they have a slight tendency to weaken their main characters or throw major problems at them, which makes their stories somewhat less satisfying at times. :)
If you, the author, want to gain more writing experience and find inspiration more quickly for the next chapter, you should read other fan fiction stories that also feature House Targaryen—and I mean only high-quality ones. I can recommend some if you'd like; this will give you ideas for writing events and help you gain more experience in describing scenes and structuring dialogue.
