And if they are immune to posion or high resistance id rather be able to hit multiple emenys from a distance and make them combat ineffective then hit one for some maybe HP drain

But if that does not kill then he just offered up his neck and if its a group the only way its effective is if you can move faster than the enemy both you take the horn out and recover or quickly build up the speed to ram but low level skeleton dont have to much speed even if a wolf

Its little different then a scout now cause he was just acting as a random commoner and not acting as a friend he also died being loyal to his master he betrayed no body so as far as spies go id say he was a very honorable one
