Of course, don't forget change the name of the copy to Ragnir, for anime lover must know its very obvious where this reference come from
It’s just my opinion, but if he were discovered by the committee and demonstrated the authority of Amaterasu, he would likely be recognized as the true Emperor of Japan at that point. At least from a supernatural perspective, since in Japanese mythology the emperor is traditionally associated with the divine lineage of Amaterasu.
From what I know in High School DxD, every devil is born with a certain level of demonic energy. That’s why devils from Pillar clans are usually already high-class from birth and don’t rely on training like low-class devils or reincarnated devils. For example, when Sirzechs was born, his Power of Destruction was so overwhelming that it filled the entire room, which shows how strong he was even at birth. But if the MC has been training since he was a baby and keeps running out of demonic energy, then that’s the question. So how do you see it?
That is what I am afraid of. There are so many Shadow Slave fanfics on this platform, and they all share one similarity. The authors tend to abandon them, often not even getting past the Forgotten Shore arc. That is why I kind of dislike this slow paced progress. I am just worried that you might end up doing the same thing.
Every time I see this progression, it feels a bit unfair to him and way too slow. I mean, he can’t even get stronger by killing the same type of enemy. For example, if there’s a swarm of identical enemies, he gains nothing from it. And from what’s described in the auxiliary chapter, almost every ability he has comes with some kind of flaw, on top of his main flaw, i really hope there’s some kind of change or compensation for him in the future chapter.
In my opinion, I really liked this novel at first. It was straightforward, engaging, and each new chapter felt exciting. It had strong potential to become something great and genuinely addictive, even though it had a few flaws. One of the early flaws, in my opinion, is the unclear power scaling between characters. It is often difficult to understand how strong each character really is compared to others. As the story progresses, instead of becoming clearer, more power systems are introduced beyond magic. Even though the author has tried to explain them, these systems still feel unbalanced and, at times, overly dominant, which reduces the sense of tension. However, as the story progressed overall, it started to feel more drawn out and repetitive, which made it less engaging. The pacing also seems slower compared to earlier parts. In my opinion, one of the main issues is the shift in focus. The story originally centered on Mikoto as the main character, which worked very well. But introducing two additional main characters midway and turning it from one MC into three feels a bit disruptive to the flow of the story. At times, these new MCs also seem to receive more screen time than Mikoto, which slightly reduces his presence as the core of the narrative. Previously, side characters appeared more frequently than Mikoto, which felt a bit unbalanced. However, I do think this aspect has improved recently, and the focus is starting to feel more balanced again. In my opinion, volume 4, where the three MCs are forced into another universe, has some pacing issues. For example, the fight between Dante, who is the second MC, and Echidna felt longer than expected, with quite a lot of dialogue that reduced the intensity of the moment. Similarly, with Grimm, the third MC, there are many dialogue-heavy sections that, in my view, slow down the story and make certain parts feel less impactful. Because of this, volume 4 can feel like it does not progress as much as expected, even though important events are happening. Another point, in my opinion, is the lack of follow-up on major events. After the three MCs leave their original world, especially after the calamity, it would be interesting to see more about what happens there, including the consequences and how other characters react. Overall, I am still following the novel out of curiosity and hope it continues to improve. I believe it still has strong potential, even though some parts of the current direction feel less satisfying compared to earlier chapters.
