No… MC is neither smart nor dumb here. Technically, it would be smarter to restrain the guy and harvest fear. But he immediately kills him. Furthermore, where’s his human emotion? Does he feel no remorse? It’s alright if he is a psychopath or does what he has to do, but then why does he not torture the dude? Just doesn’t make sense.

No? The MC is brainless. This was a poorly thought out sequence. First off, he had the easiest opportunity to use the fear skill. But he did not… Ok, really stupid, but whatever. However, the MC proceeds to think “ew, only 30 fear points, a third to getting a new skill? Trash!” Then, the author justifies this fact in part because the cooldown of the skill is 10 seconds. WTF he didn’t even use the skill once! Where the fuck does the MC even see that info? More so, why the fuck does that matter if he isn’t even willing to use it once?
