I see, maybe the chap didn't make it clear, so I'll answer your doubts. 1. Solomon doesn't have Sol's memories. He used <All-Seeing Eye> to check the past and understand the current situation. 2. The requirement to have a deep understanding in needed to 'trick subconsciouses'. If you don't know how healing works, your mind can never project healing on a big scale inside the dream tree (unless you are crazy). Sol used the Lumine's charm magic to tame his subconsciouses completely and use it against Qantal. Upgrading C+ magic to A rank is like Sol creating a tool(Solomon) and using that tool(Solomon) to create better tools(A rank magic) If it is hard to understand, then think of it as this -> the one fighting against Qantal isn't Sol who has turned into Solomon, but literally Solomon himself. These chapters are only to show how busted Solomon is supposed to be. (Indeed, the power scale was utterly broken by Solomon, which is why the Causality is moving) If that explanation doesn't satisfy you... Spoiler! ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Yes, there is a deeper reason why Solomon could use high-level magic in this chap, but it will take a long while before it is answered.
