I thought so as well, though I don't think that's the case. The author mentioned that apparently the first world is more of a slice of life, so I kind of disregarded the idea that this was Goblin Slayer

Yes, I know. The paragraph says "You're a physical attacker. So, your species uses a lot of moves that directly hit". It doesn't mean that he was saying that gallade ONLY use physical attacks, just that physical attacks are what they are known for. Gardevoir are the more special attacking oriented side of the ralts line.
