try saying this when you are in that persons shoes. its way too easy to lecture others about being generous, protecting the weak and all. but you forget that you are actually justifying that a total stranger should go ahead and protect you, share his earned resources with you, look after you and all. why not call yourself a hypocrite? that guy has zero obligations towards those strangers. still he risked being exposed and helped out. he could just have left and nobody would be able to say anything. learn to value others' efforts, rather than demanding even more from them. if you r weak and cannot look after yourself, its no one's fault but yours and only yours.

my opinion isn't as strong as yours, but i do agree that this was too rude and idiotic at the same time. since he has finally decided to give his all and not hold back, its totally stupid of him not to make use of all opportunities. also wont it give him better opportunities and resources to grow faster? he does want to meet his fiancé after all. so this dosen't really make sense for him to be so hung up on refusing only because of 'low key' which isnt even of any use anymore.
