No it didn't, the novel just isn't what you expected. He is reborn as a Marine Fodder, so the title was clear. If it was "Reborn as the strongest marine" it wouldn't make sense if anything, because Rak was reborn as a chore boy. If anything the most accurate title would be "Reborn as a Marine Fodder; I must grind to the top" or something like that but it'd be a mouthful. Either way idk what to tell ya, if you enjoy it then nice if you don't then nothin much I can do.

There is no hard and fast rule other than logia is elementalisation and zoans are animal based. Therefore the rest are paramecias, I don't know what you mean by disinformation. Also when saying "this is now how devil fruits work" you need to specify what you're referring to. Paramecias do not make all people "a super man" as you put it. There's one that legit makes you jacket, another lets you secrete bubbles, and another lets you wash people. Unless I am forgetting the contents of the chapter there is no "misinformation" as you put it.

Punch amplifies his punch, and every consecutive level of punch increases said amplification. Also I doubt you actually know how to punch or you'd know that most people actually do punch incorrectly with improper form and actually end up injuring themselves. So all around yes the skill was worth it. At least in my opinion.
