“-ish” is commonly used to describe colors of a certain hue. Most colors that is. Like golden is used for gold and just silver or silvery for silver. I personally think it cooler that these two special metallic colors get to be different. And if you go further, you can even use argent or argentine to describe something of a silvery color. Yes, silverish is also used in circulation, but no, it is not more commonly used in published literature. You can’t really even find it in Webster’s or other reputable dictionaries.
