Doesnt excuse the lack of an actual guardian. they gave him food shelter and clothing technically, but we all know that kid at 10 had a very high chance of dying before graduation and it’s a miracle he made it to 10

That’s just nonsense. They are not mutually exclusive and if someone comes for your life you have a right to take theirs. Everyone has a right to life until they infringing on that right for others
