I think it's because this book is set in a distant future, and maybe the sun and the earth are gravitationally interlocked? It's the phenomenon where the earth just revolves around the sun with rotating on it's axis. Mercury does this at this point in time. I think in a few eons Earth will follow suit.

I personally love Algebra more from QE to Binomial Theorem to Permutations, Combinations, and Probability. That and Coordinate Geometry goes hard. Also as I can't use a graphing calculator, I really mean it goes hard.
