I wonder how he managed to not get himself killed during a sugar crash before? Maybe thanks to the other "homewrecker"? A lot of new characters, set-ups for new plot development and the story seems to blurr and change from what Rosa knows. Very interesting 🤓. Such a shame that it isn't October, yet. I just want to keep reading 😆

As I am rereading this I noticed - I absolutely LOVE Amar and his dynamic with everyone else (especially the kids) - I only have the emotional capacity to lightly skim over Meng's storyline because it just hurts too bad... - Backstories are everything ♥

This is one of my favorite paragraphs in the whole book 😂 The wording, the attitude - I don't know why I love it so much but this is gold!

I could imagine that he stays for a while, grows into his leadership role and then off he goes (possibly and preferably with his girlfriend) on diplomatic missions but that seems way too predictable for this novel 😆 I'm exited to see how the author will surprise us 😁 I love the worldbuilding!
