I think Cassie is Torment, but in the same sense that Sunny is the Mad Prince. I think she's experienced the time loop of the river a few times over now, and those journals are her recollections of what has already taken place. But she's not aware of each cycle right away. She takes time to become aware each cycle. And she became aware again on Aletheia's Island. Now she knows everything that has happened and will happen, and she is about to do something drastic to prevent something from happening that she has seen happen already, time and time again.

Sure he only looks out for his own self interest but people change when influenced by others. Also, is anyone in the cohort not a psychopath?

So much going on. I think Nephis just killed Soul Stealer. Sunny's battle with the Dread Lord. I'm not sure what is happening with Cassie. Unless she knew Nephis was about to nuke everything and knew she didn't have to run anymore. I'm also not sure what is going on with Kai and I am a little concerned about that. Also, not sure about Mordret, but I'm sort of hoping he officially joins the cohort after this trial.

Its possible Mordret got something too. Effie got something even though the defiled version of Jet was the one that killed her defiled version.

So Blackjack is obviously a vampire from his previous encounter with Stinger where he used the influence skill. I wonder if he is someone we know from MVS like Edvard. But, I don't get why he thinks him and Gary would be at each other's throats. Other than the whole vampires vs werewolves thing that doesn't seem to be happening just yet.

At least someone knows to respect Gary. Not quite sure who this might be though. But obviously, he's learned his lesson.

Its been a while since Gary solved a problem by eating someone. I know that it really would not benefit him in any way, but its fun to think about.

I think we might have a White Rose team up coming along soon. That could be interesting.
