I absolutrly understand the infinity implied here is only to the mind, but I mean the concept of infinity itself here is a problem. If this being is infinite, our main character can never, and I do mean never, catch up. Infinity is inaccessible from below. It is also not slightly weaker than something else, it is either infinitely smaller than the absolute thing you describe (some larger infinity), but not slightly. These things only have meaning when we describe numbers, but infinity isn't a number. I don't quite understand how this works in the powerscaling scheme you have set up. If you want we can take this to discord btw.

Assuming this wasn't infinite but the flame would protect him against whatever effects something infinite would have, could only ever imply that the flame or at the very least the origin of the flame is infinite, which brings so many more problems with it. He either make friends with that right now and literally nothing could ever harm him again (unless you got some higher order cardinals waiting in line).
