Gonna throw out a wild theory, Takuma is an uchiha. Genjutsu doesn’t really work on him, the author has specified how he has black eyes like most uchiha and we have seen quite a lot of interaction with the clan. Even though he doesn’t have a fire affinity like most uchiha do it doesn’t mean he isn’t one.

The biggest reason of why people rate this so low is because the mc isn’t some op Gary Stu after the first chapter. Like the author’s hp fanfic this one will take time, so if you just want to read some fast paced garbage this isn’t for you.
