I gave this a try because I heard quite a bit about it and I know the author has received quite a lot of criticism about it but this is my honest thought on the story... it started off great and the narration felt smooth and friendly but also detailed but as the story progressed it became robotic as though it's being written by an AI... the Author talked about being realistic but there's none of that. I understand he received Tony Kroos' template but how can one player stand against teams like Barca and Real Madrid that are filled with superstars. I mean let's say he had Messi and Ronaldo's template at their peak... he is still one player... but still i think the biggest mistake the author made was listening to people's criticisms then adjusting the story to their likings. and lastly you could use more than one chapter to write about the matches and makes them more enjoyable. these just feel like reports someone read on the internet when they miss a match.
