That man didn't make any sense whatsoever. He had been instrumental in Keeley's death. Why was he protecting her now? What did Aaron do or not do that changed his mind? Was it really just because he had been actively opposing his father?
I honestly don’t know what to think of Graydon now. At first, he definitely felt like an enemy. But now he might be on the same side. Only time will tell, I suppose.
Probably because she had been crying on and off all day too. His heart ached for her. Loss was a funny thing. You could be going along perfectly fine and it would hit you out of nowhere. It never fully left.
I’m glad Keeley is finally looking at this from Aaron’s perspective. She has only been looking at it from her perspective up until this point. There are 2 sides to every story.
Keeley had forgotten to shut the door since she was the only person here. The last thing she expected was to see Aaron pulling a suitcase behind him and looking at her like she was crazy while standing in the doorway.
He did hide a ridiculous amount of things from her after all in the name of "protection." She wasn't much better—she never let on how much she hated the people in his social circle and wanted out.
Keeley couldn't believe she was actually talking about this with her ex-husband like rational adults. Communication had always been one of their biggest issues.
