Umm…. but she wasn’t safe. Did everyone forget major plot point that the wolves already found her there for the Rite when she was just his childhood friend/crush? How much more f’n determined would they be to find her as exiled queen preggers with an heir. Duh.

What? Is he NOT supposed to be in pain and angry at being horribly wounded. He’s mourning his losses too - including his own dreams for the future. She’s a bit light in the empathy department.
“Cora looked at her in disgust...” same girl, same. Ugh. I definitley like Cora more than the main protagonist at this point.
Agreed. So far, the author seems to be putting forth the idea her independence stems from her need to be the center of attention. Independence, I admire... vapid little attention ‘hos? Not so much. I almost stopped reading in digust when she ran from the makeshift recovery ward. However, she’s young. Hoping some self reflection and personal growth is coming for her.
