maybe I've read too many cultivation novels recently, but this reminds me of buddists saying "if I don't go to hell, who will ?". I kind of admire people like that

xD then here's your anwser SPOILERS AHEAD The ring works like this: There's no special powers aside from becoming a returnee, but if I remember correctly, there is a "power retention" on the second ring. the outer ring, or first circle, goes back to one year before. the ring after that goes back to a month. But if I'm not mistaken, he directly inherits his powers from the "end of the previous life" which is like, super OP. I guess the third ring goes back a week if I remember correctly (I could be wrong because I don't remember him dying a third time). obviously should he fail to kill his killer in any ring, he dies permanently. As for questions like, "what if he dies to disease?" "natural disasters" ? "nuclear bombs?"....I have no clue :p

I stopped reading at chapter 282 right after I wrote this review. I'm accumulating chapters and I'm honestly afraid of reading your question and reading spoilers so... I don't know, sorry :S
