Authors Note: I'm adding this here to make sure the people who encounter this chapter get a chance to read this. I've noticed that the family being cultivators has been a point of contention for many readers, but I can assure you that the novel is not going for a cliche "family disregarded him for being a waste" type trope or anything. Maybe the revelation is a little early, but regardless, this is something that had to happen for many things to make sense in the future. If you like the novel so far, continue to give it a chance.
