If you start reading this because of the R18 tag, thinking you'll see some naughty stuff, you will be very disappointed. The R18 tag is there for the violence, gore, and horror elements that are not suitable to those under 18. And I know that calling this novel R18 being is technically true, but when you list a novel as R18 on this site, you kinda get a different idea on what that means. But as for whether the story is good, it absolutely is!

Maybe they accidentally added a million onto the number? That might make more sense. Because they were going from trillion to billion, so maybe they thought million was next? IDK.

As someone who has only read the manhwa version of The Novel's Extra(which at this time is not complete), I can't exactly say how much of a ripoff of that this is. I can certainly see many familiar elements. But I also see many of its own unique things. So I'll just review it as its own thing. One thing that sets this novel apart from other stories with a system is that the system is not very gamey. Most of the progression is very incremental, and none of the characters have a ton of skills and abilities to use in battle. In fact, the stripped-down nature of things actually works to the story's benefit since it allows the story to focus more on what happens in the story rather than LitRPG progression. I also like the skills. They can't level up and have defined ranks, but even a low-level G rank skill can still be useful at the highest of ranks. All in all, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Please don't make Ren pull a Sasuke.

Everblood as a villain is just not handled properly. There's definitely a lot of potential for a villain/antagonist who is obsessed with the main character and constantly is around them driving them forward. There's numerous examples of other stories using this to great effect. For example: Mang Ryo, the main villain in "Legend of Asura: The Venom Dragon," who Everblood is basically a copy of. Heaven from "Lightning is The Only Way." The God from "Sword God In A World of Magic." All of these are excellent villains due to how charismatic, evil, threatening, and consistently present in the plot they are. Everblood is threatening and evil, but doesn't show up often enough to be memorable.

I like it. The chess piece theme from Monarch's Indifference is there. He's handsome but not too handsome. And he actually looks like how he's described. It doesn't feel like a copied cover image.

He pretty much goes through the exact same character arc as Ryu Baeksan in The Boxer. Even down to when he cries in a hospital bed for the first time as a teenager after losing to a much stronger emotionless person. BTW, read The Boxer. It's REALLY good!
