NBA_HIGHLIGHTS6mthPostedok This book is an absolute fudging gem...one thing I love about it is that it is set in the real world, the fact that the author speaks of a place in Boston and I'm like oh, I take that road everyday makes me appreciate this book more, also the characters are magnificently developed, they feel fear, joy, sadness, desperate, and a whole lot of other emotions like a REAL person, I also love the slow burn pace, it creates a much clearer picture and it's beautiful. I've never written a review but this for blood runs deep I just had to. I'm waiting to see Valentine and the two Fenways win against these inner demons they carry.

that voice is a gem
Over the low almost tuned out noise from the TV, The dazed Valentine heard a rough and wheezy voice, "I can bet on him appearing before winter ends." The voice was one to spark Star Trek scenes. Had she visualized someone to go with that voice, that would be Darth Vader and one avid smoker rolled into one. But what really dragged her out of her mind were the contents of Dag's statement.
