This web novel ranks among the most disappointing reads I've encountered on this platform. Even as someone who occasionally indulges in the guilty pleasure of poorly executed wish-fulfillment novels with sign-ins and cash back systems, this particular story leaves me utterly speechless. The incessant inclusion of mind-numbing "comments" akin to those found in Chinese novels, but in a PERMANENT live stream format, is beyond tolerable. Most functioning human beings find little enjoyment in the brain-rot induced by such dialogue, and this novel takes it a step further by subjecting readers to an unrelenting barrage of these comments, leaving no room for respite. While I'm usually open to overlooking a single flaw in a novel, this one offers nothing redeeming or enjoyable. The plot follows a predictable cycle where the protagonist gets into trouble, feigns cuteness, and effortlessly dispatches enemies, accompanied by a chorus of repetitive and uninspiring commentary like "ohhh wow how lucky" or "her dad is trash!" or even "it's that pink kids smartwatch!". The only potentially interesting element, the overpowered dad, remains conspicuously absent for the initial 20 chapters. Anticipation builds, but disappointingly, even after a half-year time skip, the narrative fails to deliver on this promising aspect. The protagonist embarks on another dungeon adventure, further delaying any potential revelation about the father's character.

Typically, I don't mind if the MC lacks intelligence as long as they're powerful, but Sage's Cultivation takes it to an extreme. The novel suffers from issues with dialogue, logic, and the overall intelligence of its characters. The first female lead is depicted as completely unintelligent, the MC's decisions and reasoning are perplexing, and even the influential figures like the sect leaders exhibit a shocking lack of intelligence. One particular incident stood out to me: when the MC encountered an inner disciple who flew into a rage because the MC displayed an act of kindness by giving a few extra coins to a shop owner. Rather than dismissing it, the disciple attempted to assassinate the MC, deeming him a hypocrite. Such moments raise doubts about the story's credibility. Although I can appreciate the MC's strength despite their lack of intelligence, the overall portrayal of characters in this novel leaves much to be desired. It would greatly benefit from more coherent and believable character interactions and decision-making processes.
Pathetic MC. At about 50 chapters the MC decides to give all the gold he still haves to a random beggar on the street insted of actually doing something useful with the money. Always trying to help and stuff its honestly just too much for me can't continue reading the book it sucks because it has an interesting plot. Read at your own risk if you enjoy the basic hero trying to help every body MC well this is a good read. Please note that i am at chapter 50 so it might change in the future idk.
