For clarification, I have no issue with the translation style of the second half. My issues here stems from the lack of a proper transition between the two styles and the seemingly arbitrary changing of the characters names. If there had been a slower rate of changes then it might have been more bearable but dropping it all on a single chapter halfway through the book and just expecting the reader to keep up with you is a terrible way of going at that. As for the names? Again, 360+ chapters in and suddenly they're different. Why not just leave the established main characters alone and fix those around them or if you're so determined to correct the names, fix them in the early chapters as well. That one's alot more to ask but it's still an annoyance as a reader to now relearn the names of the MAIN characters.

To be honest, I'm torn here. The absolutely wonderful job Rainbow Turtle did for the first half of the book had been destroyed when the new translator took it over, I've only started reading this once it was completed and I can't express it enough how absolutely jarring the switch is. For those that haven't read yet and don't understand, on chapter 363 there's a change in translators and they have completely different styles. Their first chapter immediately changes most of the established terms in the story under the decision of making it closer to the original. Now I can understand this part however it was executed poorly and threw so much at the reader, even now that it's completed the earlier chapters haven't been updated to show these later changes and it creates a major disconnect from what we had been reading for the past 360+ chapters. But the worst part, and I mean absolutely worst part of it all is changing the character names. Again this was meant to make them closer to the original however I cannot stress this enough, NEVER CHANGE THE NAMES HALFWAY THROUGH A BOOK. The names of major characters were changed in spelling to be more accurate however many of them didn't even resemble the spelling of what they were before making seem as if halfway through the book we're suddenly dropped in with a new band of characters that we have no attachment to. Names mean a TON, especially 360+ chapters in and it greatly upsets me that they'd done this thinking it'd be okay to just drop all of these changes IN A SINGLE CHAPTER, not slowly changed over the course of a few chapters to help readers adjust to the new style. Which I'll add that they also did more changes over the next few chapters so there's more piled onto an already disconnected reader. So I'm torn now because I want to give this a perfect rating because up until now it was, however after trying to reconnect the story after the switch is seeming impossible now. Trying to push myself through to read the next chapter is becoming harder because it's almost a completely different story in feeling, As if in reading two different books. If it truly does improve going forward and it starts resembling the old style more then please let me know because I want to see this story through but if I have to relearn a book halfway through it just to continue then I don't see the point.
