If you don't understand the 'many pupils in one eye' thing, google 'Polycoria.' It's an actual medical condition that can be either present at birth or result from an iris-related disease. But do so at your risk, as some people may find it disturbing (but I'm not going to lie—if you find that jarring, other parts of this book will be far worse). Also... I am not trying to demonize people with medical conditions. I just found the concept of a creature having more than one pupil a cool idea. I'm not making light of a real condition, nor am I trying to say those people are monsters. ...And that's the end of my spiel.
This is going to be a long rant, so be warned. Honestly... I got really busy at the time, and couldn't update as much. Then I ended up creating a really boring arc with several plot holes. It felt like the more I wrote, the more I ruined the story I wanted to create. What started out as a fun hobby, quickly turned into a chore, and I began hating my own work. By the time I convinced myself to try again, two full years had passed, and my book was basically dead. So instead of that, I just decided to write something else. However, the book I planned on writing had several flaws as well, so I never ended up publishing it. At that point, I realized I was too caught up in a perfectionist mindset for someone who simply wanted to write for fun. So I decided to just write what I wanted without caring too much. Which is what this book is. Pretty much everything in this book was designed and written within the last 3 weeks (as of this response). This book isn't designed to be top-tier or any other deluded goal I had for my other books. It was simply made to tell a story, and to have fun while doing so. I'm sorry that I disappointed you and so many others.
Yeah... I'll try to not drop this book if possible. I hope you do enjoy it though if you ever do end up reading it.
Probably not for a while, if I ever decide to. Sorry about that.
Honestly, I don't know. I'm leaning against it at the moment, but that could change a couple hundred chapters down the line. This book is something I just threw together in the course of 2 days, so most things are still undecided.
