She can literally teleport, has a large storage space, makes clothes from magic and I'm assuming has plenty of magical abilities. I have no clue why being caught by the police is a problem. Making this preparation + buying clothes plot pretty nonsensical.

900 chapter review First off, I really enjoyed this novel overall. Many things are done right by my own standards and I will elaborate in a bit. Before that though, let's speedrun some of the minor annoyances I had, and that you might have while reading. 1. Oh, the misery For being such a 'charismatic' character, the mc has made a total of 1 friend so far. and there's a low chance that she'll even show up again. Basically, the only development you'll get is the mc's. 2. Masochistic reading Boy is there humiliation and suffering in-store, with acts of revenge that are never enough to cover the sour taste. 3. Power levels There's an entire period of time where mc's power level is uncertain because his body is the weakest link, which leaves his battles up to a coin flip depending on the author. There's also the fact that mc will get beat up because of his ignorance (eg, using his energy in the wrong way), then learn how to use it correctly, then have a short period of invincibility until he gets beat up by the next thing he's ignorant about. Though it looks like the author is starting to address the second point, which is great. 4. Morality theme There's a theme of 'right or wrong' throughout the story and personally, I'm not a big fan. It drags on for a bit too long for what's ultimately a subjective answer. 5. Aina...that's all I'm gonna say. Jk, but for real isn't the first rule about making a fml, making her at least likable. *Spoilers* Running away as soon as your boyfriend has an obsession other than you is pretty irredeemable *Spoiler over* Not to mention how much of a one-way relationship they have. Now the good points. 1. Grammer and vocabulary are immaculate General writing is good enough to the point where it is unnoticeable. 2. A unique power system I won't argue that it isn't overly complex or gets even more complex each arc, but it's pretty cool how many abilities and powers there are in the world. A fresh take on cultivation. 3. World The world of DD opens up rather slowly, with hints of larger families and entities. This is really well done and gives it intrigue. 4. How the mc(author) deals with challenges The best parts of this novel are when the mc is gathering information on his enemies to outsmart and overcome them. We get to enjoy a rational person use his mind to overcome great odds. Only when the mc goes monkey brain does the story feel forced in an ironic twist. I suppose that is the problem with writing a story with a highly intelligent mc or one that has powers liken to having a supercomputer for a brain. Overall, this is an enjoyable story because of the unique world it contains and its great adventure. The mc was a passive protagonist during the first ~800 but now that everything (world, plot, ambition) is finally opening up into a grander scale, the future of this novel seems quite exciting.

Why do I have a nagging suspicion that every new character will be somewhat incompetent in some way, and that mc will force his 'helping hands' on them.

Agreed, most novels with this internal conflict don't do it well. Not to mention the fact that it's hard to feel sympathetic to a situation unfamiliar to most of us.

They're probably cringing cause this really came out of nowhere. Why? 1. Because he's been expecting to die for the first few chapters. 2. There's not enough backstory/pain to justify his willpower. 3. There's no threat so far to make him this desperate. But whatever, it's an early chapter and there's nothing stronger than family.

This is a yandere, slice of life with an op main character. That's pretty much it. You might like it if you like: - Yanderes - MC with a cult secretly behind him - Little adorable loli dragons - Weird multi-genre world You might dislike: - Clueless MC - Jumping POV every chapter - Gore that really doesn't feel impactful - Problems that are only problems because the mc doesn't clarify or show up. - Memes or references in the novel I'm not the type to read slice-of-life though, so the novel may be in a better light if you look at it from that angle.

Pretty good, Follows the generic op protag narrative of: - mc gets strong - someone related to mc is in trouble - mc deals with it Back to the top Definitely not something to binge read if u can't already tell. But if you are already caught up, then it feels like a short episode of shonen anime everyday with the chapter lengths (recently). Best part of this novel is the power trip from the op mc. Worst part is that the novel is blatantly formulaic.

What a wholesome arc

I read the first 40 chapters and it can be seen that the author is new to writing. There is nothing wrong with this but in the comments, the author tries to justify the inconsistencies in the novel with some bs reason and the readers seem to lap it up. This is probably due to the nature of such a book being ero. But sadly, the intimate scenes after the first left me feeling cringe or nothing at all. The author set out an enticing world I was will to read more of, but after these 40 chapters, I'm not very sure anymore.
