They are stronger and more durable than humans, but not durable enough to withstand a steel blade. Think of a steel blade attack point to be 10. A normal human durability point would be 1. A witcher durability would be 3 to 6, depending on the school. They can take more damage than humans, but are still helpless against a steel sword. Hence, the armor and shield spell.

He should be able to easily handle a normal lvl 4 if he levels up. Having max stats for every level stacks, honestly it won't be surprising if he as a new lvl 5 with max stats in his lvl 4 and below, can fight a new lvl 7. Danmachi power system is basically the more your foundation, the stronger your power. The problem is that for most adventurers, it's too time consuming and hard, thus they level up normally.

5.9 not 4.9, just like how 100% is ×2 not ×1, and 200% is ×3 and not ×2
