Exactly! Where are the guards? She was travelling in a carriage a few paragraphs ago - meaning, there must have been a driver at the very least (apart from the soldiers that the King ordered to accompany her) and these people that are in charge of her safety let her leave all alone with a complete stranger to god-knows-where? I highly doubt it. Also the whole eye color thing and her age when she disappeared - makes absolutely no sense. When she was in the carriage she asked all these questions; Who is she? How were her parents? And funnily enough she asked if her parents fought that fateful night or if they'd run. GIRL!! You saw that they fought to the last breath in the vision the Moon Goddess gave you. What are you talking about!?! This whole chapter is a bunch of nonsense. I noticed other continuity issues earlier on but they weren't as blantant as these examples. This makes me want to give up on this book. If the story changes from chapter to chapter without any logical connection, then it isn't enjoyable at all.
Starting from chapter 93 every chapter after is repeated over and over again. And the chapter order is also mixed up. @Author, please have a look and upload the correct chapters. Thanks!
this is chapter 93. it's repeated a second time.
this is chapter 93. it's repeated.
it means that someone looks and acts indifferent towards the other person; but deep inside they're all mushy and happy. tsundere: hard outside = soft, warm heart on the inside
what is going on? the ending of the previous chapter and this one don't make sense. have chapters beeb skipped?
The synopsis is very intriguing and the premis of the story is in and of itself great. Unfortunately, the execution is... lackluster at best. I read up to chapter 21 and now I am giving up. The writing is so messy, I can hardly keep up with all the backgroud info for each new character, sudden change of POV (without any indication) and the characters relationships with eachother. I read quite a few chinese novels. I know how it goes. All the extra drama, filler chapters, random subplots that may or may not get resolved and sometimes even character arcs. I mean, it is cliche but entertaining. What I cannot stand is the chaotic structure of how this is written. It made my head ache. Which is a shame, cause I truly thought this might be something. But I am not going to put myself through 100 more chapters... otherwise I may just have to rob a pharmacy for aspirin.
Read up to chapter 222 (free read period -> otherwise I would not have spent my coins) Another generic story of an FL with hidden identities. Story does not match the synopsis. At first I had hope that there might be some family time between FL and the child (maybe also ML) but I read over 200 chapter and the child only showed up at the beginning of the story for a few paragraphs. Honestly, if the childs name wasn't mentioned from time to time I would have forgotten about him. Also synopsis mentions 2 children, until now no mention of the supposed 2nd child has been made. The FL is supposed to be this miraculous, all-powerful individual that still somehow got schemed against and was stuck in a mental hospital for 5 years. This girl is incredible, she has manny hidden identities that keep popping up. Apparently 2 weeks after she got locked up, she used her secret identity as an elusive CEO to become the biggest sponsor of the mental hospital she was in... where the hell is the logic in that?? She was basically like Pablo Escobar, making moves and keeping things going even when she was locked up... bit she didn't have to!! She had all the power to get out of there and live her life (and make everyone believe that she was still in lockup. And she STILL does not know what exactly happened 5 years ago?!? If you are such a top hacker, dean of a university at 14, elusive CEO and miracle doctor (and probably more), why are you incapable of finding out how the imbecile of a 'sister and mother duo' were able to scheme against you after such a long time? Also, how were you able to conveniently save so many big shots when you were locked up? or was it before that? Whatever, this story defies logic and simple common sense. My final point is, try it if you dare. I will most certainly not keep going. I have already lost a few of my lrecious braincells trying to keep up with the inconsistencies and am NOT willing to put up with it 1000+ chapters more. Whoever is brave enough to tackle the challenge: You have my respect.
So, I only read the first 40 chapters. The story in itself is... fine, I guess. Very generic. Ticks all the cliche boxes. The FL is another one of those apparent 'medical geniuses' (god, I am starting to hate those stories - but am unable to find any other good alternative). Anyway, I am really starting to like the relationship FL has with her mom. It is cute. But if her mom is so supportive of her and loves her to bits, did she ever take her to the hospital to get checked? If the hospital couldn't find the answers, wouldn't she have moved heaven and earth to get experts from all over the world to try their luck? I was happily surprised that the cancellation of the engagement, kicking out the white lotus sister and the parents divorce has all been handled already. Quite satisfied that this was not dragged out for 200+ chapters (excluding filler). The little brother is annoying, but somewhat bearable (barely). There is another character that is so much worde than him in my opinion - I will get to him later. The ML, ugh, I did not warm up to him. He is the typical domineering, ruthless tyrant (can't stand those types - but these chinese authors just love 'em to bits). Cliche? Check that box! Up until now he didn't do anything other than be cold, calculating and cough a bit. The thing that made me drop the story though was the ML's assistant/bodyguard?? His name is Wan Qi? Wang Qin? Something like that. Boy! Do I hate that mofo! First time ML and FL meet, he starts throwing hands. Bruh! I wish the ML had not warned him so that FL could have unalived the (insert swearword) assistant at that moment. It would have saved me from quite a bit of annoyance. The dude is so f-ing unreasonable - it blows my mind. Like, those people are supposed to be powerful martial artists. You would imagine them being able to sneak into every house, building, even a freaking bank vault without arousing suspicion. Like ghosts or something. And what does this genius do when he needs FLs help, cause something happened to ML? HE MAKES A FREAKING WHOLE IN THE WALL THE SIZE OF ELEPHANTS!?!?! Good choice bruh, no one will take notice of that. It is very inconspicuous. *note the sarcasm* Yeah. So, after that stunt I decided not to sacrifice any of my hard earned points or fast passes, cause I ain't putting myself through more of that assistant diva's drama. The only mentally unstable bodyguard I am willing to watch is Richard Madden's Netflix series - because reasons. [img=Loving it]
This type of plot/story should be thrown in the trash. The ML is an abusive a** and FL is a doormat. The toxicity in this is off the charts. Is it too much to ask to have an ML and FL that have - or better yet BUILD - a healthy relationship?!
