Wow, okay. The author didn't joke. The first ten or so chapters were indeed angsty and the female lead broke up with the male lead during their four-year anniversary. The ML has a reason for it and apparently he is hooking up with the Yang girl for revenge. The whole truth isn't revealed yet but this already makes me interested. The author writes in a detailed manner and the writing quality is amazing. I also love the MC because she is a strong and independent girl who doesn't back down or cry when faced with a humiliating situation. She is level-headed and knows how to talk back. And the best part is, she is not a doormat! I am so proud! Great job, author!

True. The previous chapters talked about Lu Jingren but his actions are actually minimal and the people around him makes a big deal about it even though he is hardly doing anything. It even makes me wonder if he is really as strong as the others portray him. But so far, he is not as scummy as MC thinks? I'm not entirely sure because so far in the story, he is still a decent human being and hasn't done anything to MC in their second life.
