it's quite confusing actually, chair man says that the dungeons are working of the rulers to give humans a fighting chance by awakening talents in them through mana, while Selena does say that everyone draws power from somewhere and she enhances the power - this could be something that humans take mana from their surroundings to keep up their talents, while Sung gains mana from system (at that time) or through his black heart. What does purity mean in this context? As far as ik mana is just mana, there is nothing called dirty mana or something.

Rulers made it such that more dungeons makes earth to have more mana and when there is more mana, more people awaken. It is also shown in the manhwa or the web novel that there are many Awakened during the last arc because of excess mana being poured out of the dungeons.
