The point I'm trying to make is that people who graduated from good universities carries more weight than the average non-college-graduate when climbing the corporate ladder through the recommendations, connections, knowledge, prestige and security they carry since investing on people who provides you with confidence and security is as important as having skilled professionals.
There are multiple reasons as to why they'd tend to choose people from prestigious universities, and that is getting connections and joining nerd circles. Not to mention the funding the university gets from its alumnae who are mostly wealthy because of the connections they've built and the prestige of the institution. Oh, might I add that universities who raised successful people will also get more prestige and would attract more people with potential that will also benefit from its prestige and the already built connections?
