Hello I have read your comment and am here to reply. About the parallel reality, it was never even mentioned once that it was parallel. The scientists knew that it was a reality since there was a wormhole and wormholes always leads to some places. Unless it is on space, the wormhole would not lead to any place in space so it only made sense to them that it could lead to a reality. As for time dilation, it was mentioned in the chapter that the gravity readings were high around those "holes". As physics goes, gravity bends or distorts the space-time plain. So the more mass an object has, the higher it's gravity, the more space will be bended and more time will be bended in relative to the space distortion. Easily said, the larger the gravity field, the more time is dilated or distorted. And the scientists also reached a consensus on how to bring the MC back. As the "hole" behaved very much like wormhole, all the MC had to do was go back to the place he had first spawned to. He would still be able to come back if the hole didn't collapse. I would agree that it did seem like a forced plot. But that's just how some stories work, authors don't really have any other choice. Besides, I am no professional author.
