What are you talking about, sylveon evolve when given a fairy move friendship, but Umbreon and espeon evolve from friendship and Day or night time, they don't require a dark or a psychic move to evolve and having any of those moves won't stop the evolution of eevee into Sylveon.

I think you should revise this part, they way he says that 'Unova already existed' which i think it should be obvious, sounds too much like an an arrogant statement, like 'Oh poor ineducated guy, let me explain that just because we found Unova, doesn' t mean that it didn't existed before' or at least that is how it sounds to me.

Maybe the author decided to make it more 'realistic' and those pokemon that need a object to evolve can't be found in the wild as Long as the object is human made, king rocks can be found in the wild, but the evolution object of electabuzz clearly is human made.Although to be fair, by the Looks of the object maybe all that it does is give electabuzz a electric charge of specific conditions that let him evolve, but taking account that such object was needed to evolve them in first place, the appearance of electavire in the wild should be really low because a charge of that conditions aren't reached normally in the wild.
