I have to say, I didn't see the monarchy coming. Thinking about it, it's probably the most normal way of ruling a territory in their world or at least that's what I would think. Let's see where this is going.
Winthrope might have the support of the survivors from the forest, but not from the people living in Resko. He should drastically change the way he conducts himself, especially since he's of noble birth, which he likes to boast around... The fact that his ancestors stayed in Resko and supported its people is commendable, but doesn't really mean much concernig his own qualities or his rights of rulership. Even his argument about "skills" still irks me the wrong way. He grew up in a forest in the middle of nowhere, he has no clue about the world itself and the poltical situation. He might have learned from his father, but this should be outdated information and still limited. There are bound to be changes, that none of the survivors in the forest could have teached him. I really hope Dale doesn't backtrack on his inital opinion of Winthrope and stays cautious.
Exactly for such words, David is one of the best characters in this story.
Gives the story more depht, since we can see the story from another perspective.
Finally, it's the appearance of one of my favourite side characters. The picture looks nice btw. Better than what I imagined, when I read the original story.
Famous last words...
To be honest, I would really like to know what Yin is thinking about this coma-like state, since she knows best what it feels like or if she even has any memories after the accident.
Okay and here I was thinking there was something going on with Zed and Yin.
