This is a nice light hearted novel. Sure the challenges but that is just good story. the guy isn't the typical arrogant master, egotist type which is a relief!
Like alot of books I started with a very high expectations and thing's went well at first but (Sigh) yet another asshole power hungry Mc..my expectations are crushed. I hope this changes at some point
I mean God's are a problem? No issue take half out at the start and wham God killer items. Dragons? Not knowing the monarch system? pssh, just get your own undying guardian. All I ask for is a bit more fight to the ..you know fight if you can call it that
I have to ask is the master the authors secret love child? Maybe the secret main character? Guy knows almost everything, has nearly infinite power and whatever he doesn't have he has someone in his team that makes up for it...underdog stories are not rare but this one is extremely one sided
I do like the series. the main character is a bit stupid but that is okay I suppose...my main issues are with the way he is tough on his enemies but a yes main for everyone else...please grow a pair. Also improving friends, lovers, family etc is important but you should never self sacrifice to boost them when you have a very real threat in "The master" who already has more classes then you. I really don't see how the main character is special to be honest I mean..with martial artist his grandfather, leavemealone and even several of his guildmates seem able to keep up if not surpass him..his only real claim to power is the extra levels he has. martial arts? John can keep up when he actually tries, leavemealone seems to outpace him, even Jeanne catches up quick..where is this skill his grandfather keeps talking about..plz help me understand here...otherwise it is an entertaining read, i just had a few small gripes
They're a few exactly like that actually... if you can think it, then it has probably been done to greater or lesser success
serious---before it was autocorrected
I like the story. I hate the main character quite honestly but gave the series a series shot and eventually started to like it a bit more later after I got used to the idea of him being an a****le. Figured alot of characters are like this now in novels. I like the fact that humans aren't completely innocent in this one unlike in alot of novels even if the author still went with ancient humans being a top species powerwise which honestly makes no sense biologically if you discount science but it is HIS world so I won't push it too much
I disagree about the author and couldn't agree more about the Mc. They're alot of really evil mc's in novels that have done worse...
P.s.~they're only a few books when I wish that the villains would win or atleast kill the main character and this is one of them
