50 pounds is good fro 1 rep, not to be wearing it for hours on end. medieval knights trained trained daily from the age of 7, wrestling, lifting heavy stones, and running, and participating in organized tournaments, duels, and spars, just to be able to wear their armor. it was the equivalent of the US marine training in intensity. Williow has done none of that, and is latter said to have a weak constitution that causes them to have issues during training.
thank god. you need to reduce the amount of smut in this book so that the story can actually go somewhere.
that is the worst you can do for foreshadowing.
thats what steroids are for.
full steel plate armor weighs 50-60 pounds. you think a femboy who is too stupid to train in 15 years is gonna be able to wear that?
each year there is equivalent to 2 here, and every thing seems to grow faster, but yea, its a little weird.
this review is written as of 4/14/2024, with chapter 489 being the latest chapter. Spoiler free review/ TLDR: the good: 1- the mythology you have created for this world is very entertaining and good. 2- the 18+ scenes are written very well 3- the story so far has hooked me the bad: 1- some of the characters are shallow 2- the story is moving at a slow pace 3- there is too many 18+ scenes. they get in the way of the story, and are used so much they have become stale and tedious to read. a book should never be tedious. the story would benefit from a 50% reduction to 18+ scenes. Long version, with story spoilers the good: the mythology is extremely good and entertaining. it fleshes out the world and emulates real world patterns of mythos very well, giving explanations to things that are unexplainable to people of medieval technological stage. The stories give character to the powers above in this world, and develops a path towards understanding and empathy with entity that are shown to actually exist and interact with mortals. the 18+ scenes are written well. in some cases they are used as slice of life fillers, and in others as tools to advance the story and developed character. this diversity helps keep new characters fresh and improve the flaws of existing ones. the story so far has been entertaining, with interesting plot points, and the seeds of massive events sowed. The bad: Some of the characters are shallow and under used. You wrote an entire 60+ chapters dedicated to buying the lamia girl, yet barley use her in any way. her entire personality is "snake girl, slave, can brew poisons". there is nothing else there. The story is moving at a very slow pace, and this is because of the absurd amount of 18+ scenes. It is extremely irritating to be interested in what story beat is going on, only for it to be interrupted with another version of "Astra was horny" and then 2000 words of sex. You are overusing sex scenes, and it is actively harming the story. whats going on with the ritual shop that was hidden by magic? its been nearly 100 chapters since it was mentioned. The worst hit by this is Astra's date with the duchess. I think it was actively harmed by the inclusion of sex scenes throughout the date. It would have been more impactful and emotional if they didn't happen. The story would benefit from reducing the amount of 18+ scenes by 50% or more. it would allow for more of the story to advance, while keeping sex scenes more fresh because there wouldn't be 10 strait chapters of them.
Death
and they can milk her like that guard did.
if she managed to hit a 10% chance of failure 20 times in a row, which according to my (very bad) calculations, is a 1/5000 chance, i would pity her too.
the duchess already knows. she used truth magic when they first met, and she was clued in by it.
