I did writing a few years back but stopped due to personal reasons. Decided to get back into it as a hobby for outside of work. I love Berserk and Doom, but I also enjoy more chill anime and games.

Oh no, that's not the case. She was aged up so me writing about her having a crush on the MC wouldn't make me feel like a such a bad person. It really didn't help and writing the scenes with her being bashful still made me feel uncomfortable and hurt me mentally and almost physically. The things I do for writing. Though if she does end up with the MC, then that's how it goes. It wouldn't be because I've planned it or anything. I've left the love interest for the MC pretty much empty in my plans, for the most part.
I can assure you that that's where the similarities end. Well, he may have an innate propensity for anger and whatnot but nothing that's too hard to manage.
Tell that to Guts. He swings around a 400lbs monstrosity and it's done him pretty well so far. Also, in moderation, strength training/weight-lifting is beneficial no matter what you are. It's when you start doing it as much as Ronnie Coleman and Arnie with the goal of Mr. Olympia in mind that it starts to effect your flexibility adversely. Knowing when to stop muscle mass growth and just focus on strength building exercises is a vital part of having a balanced but strong body, after all. MC knows this and isn't about to become too big.
How would he change things? He's the third son of some House in the North. A decently big one, sure. But not one big enough to change anything major. Plus, he has, like, no power in either House Umber or House Stark. He's a child, for Christ's sake. If a young teenager came up to you and began speaking about how to more efficiently run a House, would you listen to them? Probably not. Because unlike characters in a forced fanfic situation, you're a sane individual. The only thing he has control and influence over is his own preparedness aka his body and combat skills. Alongside medical knowledge. That's about as much preparation as he can realistically get. And to answer your question, no, he won't be letting canon run it's course. He'll just have to sort it out via strength of arm rather than elaborate scheming/planning. Because that's all he can do. Say if he was born in House Lannister or in House Tyrell, he'd definitely be able to plan and scheme because he'd have the necessary connections, time and capital to be able to do so. But as he is now, he doesn't have any of those things.
Yeah, the Wolfswood. But the people who are responsible for cutting the trees and supplying Winterfell have stopped supplying it to Winterfell. ''Why can't they cut the trees themselves?'' Because that would mean they'd have to move people away from their other jobs and make them cut wood. Not only is this incredibly inefficient (having people like blacksmiths and farmers cutting down trees), you're also only making another place worse by depriving it of it's workers. There's only a finite amount of workers to be assigned, after all.
What do you mean 'like'? Like...what are their advantages? Flexibility, for one. Trained well enough, a women would be capable of dodging attacks a man wouldn't be able to with relative ease - their smaller overall size would mean a smaller target as well, leading to being harder to hit. Another advantage? Lack of muscle mass may lower their overall raw strength but it also makes them much lighter and with specialized training to increase explosive power, they'd be much quicker on their feet than a Westerosi Knight who are usually not only weighed down by armor but also their muscle mass. This would lead to a sort of Rogue-type fighter who specializes in dodging and quick but lethal attacks aimed at weakpoints. Not to mention that there's probably numerous women in Westeros like Brienne who are, quite frankly, built like men with broad shoulders and broad chests which allows them to showcase similar brute strength to men. That's playing to a woman's strengths. It's not hard to figure out if you use your head and think about it lmao.
True. But that's only if you allow The Mountain to take advantage of his strength in the first place. If you're outmatched, it's hubris to fight an opponent in a way that works to their advantage - just like in the same way that wouldn't fight The Mountain in a head-on clash unless you're just as superhuman as him. Instead, a normal warrior would try to find a work-around to bypass his strength and armor. Like a well-placed crossbow bolt or throwing knife aimed for the slit he sees through in his helmet. And women can train to attain that type of precision and hand-eye coordination. Which means they can be just as effective at killing strong, well-armored opponents as any other person can be.
And pray tell how many women grow up wanting to join the Navy SEALS lol? Due to social pressures and stigmas on gender and how certain genders suit specific jobs better, not a lot of women join the military in the first place because it's not seen as a womanly job. So, for every 100 men who join up, you'd probably only see like 4 or 5 women. Meaning a woman who could full well pass the physical test doesn't even take it because of familial/social pressures that stop her from taking up a job that isn't traditionally for women. Plus, the physical test for the Navy SEALS plays very heavily to masculine strengths and very heavily against feminine strengths. Two of the exercises involved are push-ups and pull-ups, two very upper-body involved workouts - Men have a natural advantage in upper body strength due to broader shoulders and broader chests. While women don't have these advantages which means they'll obviously fail these types of tests. I'm not saying a woman can out-power a man in brute strength - I'm saying women can match men in combat through working to their strengths of being generally quicker (smaller and less muscle mass to get in the way makes women generally faster at moving their limbs), more flexible and better coordinated than the average man. If the thought of that offends you...I don't know what to tell you, bud.
Probably more because men are raised a certain way and women are raised another, and not because there's something about men that innately makes them better soldiers. For example, boys grow up being more physically active and are usually rougher with one another while girls usually grow up playing with dolls and playing house with one another such because of social stigmas about what are 'girly' activities and what are more 'boy-ish' activities. This usually makes boys much more adaptable to rougher jobs like a soldier or whatever. Take a group of twenty people (ten women and ten men) and raise them all the exact same way and they'll do equally as well. The only difference will come from innate talent that has nothing to do with gender. However, this said, jobs that rely more on physical strength will always be performed better by men. Doesn't mean women can't be good at it either though. That's my point.
No. The Valyrian steel required for such a sword would be impossible to gather unless he raided the ruins of Valyria. And if it's not made of Valyrian steel, what's the point in having it? Instead, he'll just have a greatsword/claymore made of Valyrian steel. Still, it'll be a massive sword nonetheless. Just not to Dragonslayer-like proportions.
I feel you, bro. So many MCs are slender with the swimmer body - you never get tall and robust MCs like Guts nowadays. It's always slender, 1.80m tall and they're usually described as weak-looking. Or at least that's how it is for Xianxia's and most Asian novels.
Because you can't build up immunity to poisons. You can build up a resistance to them but resistance just means it take longer for you to die to the poison, not that you 100% won't die to it. Plus, you can only do that sort of stuff when you're VERY well-versed in poisons. A dose too big and the MC will kill himself and a dose too small and it'll have no effect. Not like the MC has a bunch of lab rats to test out what the right dosage is either. Besides, the MC's got a decent resistance to that sort of stuff already. Well beyond a normal human anyway.
Easier said than done, honestly. You can't kill off people just because they're GOING to do something. He'd get lynch mobbed if he just suddenly killed Cersei and Joffrey as soon as they arrive at Winterfell. He has to bide his time for most of the antagonists of the show and just stop them from getting what they want by counteracting their plans with his own.
No idea. Unifying Westeros by marrying multiple people is an option for the MC but if people don't want Harem at all costs, I won't do it. I wouldn't force harem into the story either way - there'd have to be legitimate reasons for it to appear for me to add it. Especially in a monogamous place like Westeros.
Why do all these comments keep getting deleted?? Goddamn Webnovel, chill bruh. Let my mans write their comments about the red-headed whore lmao.
10/10 would go on an Apostle killing date with this very angry man.
Guts is actually good-looking, what are you talking about lmao? His finer points are just usually covered in rage and twisted with hatred. Ain't my fault you can't see through that, is it?
He isn't 6'4". He's bigger than average for an 11-year-old but not bigger than a grown man lol.
Not exactly, no. It'd be better to say that Arya is more interested in his martial ability than his looks and that probably annoyed Sansa somehow. It could develop into a crush in the future and when she's older though.
Damn, why'd you comment get deleted? I found that actually quite funny.
