Solvain and Iron Maiden are two separate characters. Many so far thought that Solvain was the Fe Maiden, but this was wrong assumption.

Isn’t the point of this knife to be used agains only one immortal person? … so since Mordret has it already here, than definitely it’s going to be used in this particular manner … it’s just matter of time (no divine prediction is needed here)

The corruption is creeping in on the people of the Islands

Not quite , but close …Sunny in his timeline enter the past of the Chain Islands way after the Shadow Lord passing, so what he is taking part here happen even earlier …. He is visiting the past of his body from the Nightmare (is it his 2nd ? No, 3rd?)

Locked within the incandescent iron cage, Sunny screamed and screamed, his flesh constantly burning and restoring itself, his broken mind drowning in agony and heat… in the fire.
