With the monkey talisman couldn't you make it so he could assign a form to one of the creatures of the zodiac but they would have to be related to that animal but can still turn into regular animals and these different forms would still tire him out like the Shendu dragon form. Honestly, I have never teared up and gotten so emotional reading a novel in my life. The small beautiful actions that the characters do make the novel so endearing and genuine. Their like little bits of magic in the story and that says a lot considering its set in the Marvel Universe that full of magic, monsters and super beings.
