this is a world of cultivation though, real world feats with guns don't really hold up when a single dude can destroy a planet. If he's going to have to survive on hostile worlds for unknown periods of time, a gun is the best option!... until he runs out of ammo. Sure he can use MP to refill it but that goes against his character trying to be smart with his funds. A blade just has more uses overall and can be great for large scale battles, one on one fights, stealth, etc. especially at this power scale. Not to mention it's boring as hell and doesn't require as much skill lol.

this is starting to give me Eragon vibes which I'm not mad about

it only works up to two tiers above him, so it would basically be useless if he keeps maximizing stats and can fight people in the next couple tiers anyway.

I'm hyped to be here for my second read through. This novel is definitely worth it.
