That was why he decided to run off to Albus in the hope that the man would be able to save Lily. That was what led him to become a spy in the first place and later when Voldemort killed both James and Lily, Albus managed to trick Severus into swearing an Oath saying that he would protect Harry with his life… Harry wasn't sure if the Oath was still active or not since they used his name and his mother's name while swearing the Oath. - InGlorious21dReplied to Kazaril_M
He is better than Gellert, but Gellert would notice if Albus tried to manipulate him. It could have been a different story if Albus still had the Elder Wand, but now he can only enter Gellert's mind because Gellert is allowing it and even if Albus somehow manages to manipulate Gellert, Harry can read his mind through the Mark
