smh dude about to get age restricted
I'm gonna be lazy with this review since you can find a good one pretty quick. but anyways, I've finished reading strongest system and this novel and although I have enjoyed reading them, I have noticed that the author doesn't do too well closing out the story. I feel like the endings are always a bit rushed and that the author could definitely do more by adding more arcs since the final cultivation realms are always so easy to get to.
Update: Some of the newest chapters like 450 is an example. From 450-452 it was just about some random peak battled let warrior (who was probably gonna die as soon as he appeared) and the mc talking trash to each other for the first 2 chapters then mc beats him in 2 punches in third chapter. Someone that was supposed to take 1 chapter at most took 3 whole chapters for some random cannon fodder
To be honest, I really like this story. I found it on novelupdates and read up to chapter 440. The mc is ruthless and a little op, which is my cup of tea. But the reason I don't rate it as 4+ stars is because of the story development. Sometimes a chapter or 2 concludes a minor event like a fight. But then other times, it takes 2 or even 3 chapters for the story to progress even 2min in its world. At the same time, the story is a little repetitive. It's a series of the mc being underestimated --> people mock mc --> he doesn't do anything -> they think about killing him --> doesn't do anything -- they try to kill him then die. Then this process repeats everytime he is put in a new environment. Of course there is one case where the mc just straight up kills some people cause they would become a problem in the future. He justifies it by saying that they'll try to take revenge and so on. Yet after this, he goes back to doing nothing and just sitting there as people mock him, have killing intent towards him and so on. Conclusion: Even though I like the novel, issues about story development and a repetitive storyline makes it really frustrating for me to read this.
