I really like this book and think it’s a lot better than the usual on this site or app. The one thing I don’t like is the brain tumor aspect. It just raises too many questions for me that seem unanswerable. Like any time Lex makes a mistake it’s always like, is this human error he can learn and grow from or just rash behavior due to brain tumor. Also it makes me question some comedy scenes, like when he got the upgrade to the mystery trials where it will notify him of certain talents and he started basically making the strawhats. I thought that was pretty funny but then I thought is this more rash behavior or is this just a funny moment to laught at. It also raises some questions about his family when they’re revealed to basically be some sort of “top dogs”. Like were they just going to let him die from the brain tumor? Do they know? If they don’t that’s pretty disappointing considering they are basically gods and if they do then it’s unforgivable to me that they would have left it in. I see no good reason to leave it in unless they’re from a species that has to die to reach its full potential lol.
Was liking it quite a bit until I got to the chapters around 80-100. Before that it was very good. I mean the characters felt like actual people not stupid tropes, MC system is strong but not completely ridiculous like some sign-in systems, and I had a decent idea of what was to come. But then, Out of nowhere, MC is kidnapped, made a slave, timeskipped until he escaped, runs away, and can’t get back home until he’s super powerful due to dangerous mountains blocking the way. Then the plot gets super cliche and he joins this martial arts hall. And now certain characters are just absolutely stupid, the whole plot of the novel changed, and the MC is more focused on some fat worm than improving his understanding of the system.
You are probably right, just thought it was interesting that the MC remembered and has brought up the witch before but not the wizard. I also wasnt sure if they are taking place of MC in his memories or if theyre playing a sort of simulation based on his memories with things added
I dont know if its me or the author’s writing style but this was just plain confusing to read. i have no clue who these characters are or why i should care about them. I have no idea where they are or why things are happening. On top kf that the MC is constantly belittled and gets short end of stick.
It’s a pretty good novel with some stuff I dont like here and there. Im 43 chapters in at this point and the system is still not really playing any major role so not sure why the synopsis is like that, Unless it comes later. Also one pet peeve of mine is the excuse of being in a younger or different body to allow for certain things. like in this novel if you wanted an evil MC just make him evil. Better than other novels where its used to justify pedO stuff though
