It is Volt, I tried to show that through his first warframe ability. Apologies, in my first edit of the chapter I had Volt as a separate consciousness that talked with him; I scrapped that idea and then forgot I never mentioned the name until much later, and even then as if it was already known.

partially, usually Vor doesn't lose an arm in the interaction. I was attempting to introduce slight breaks in canon. It would be a little boring if it mirrored the game entirely, you know. But largely, our protagonist will follow the traditional Warframe story; with only a few choice detours ;)

An astute observation good sir, rest assured that explanations will come sooner rather than later. I didn't just randomly rip a cute goddess from another franchise for no reason.

I did indeed contemplate whether or not to expedite the explanation of why, how, and who; but rest assured, our friend Sam will soon find out.
